The retractable Summilux lens has a zoom range of 24-75mm with an aperture of 1.7-2.8. This super-fast lens was paired with a 4/3 sensor that shoots 17-megapixel images, ensuring that every shot is as real as the moment you captured.
Whether you’re shooting in the camera’s 4K video mode or using burst mode to capture up to 11 frames per second, the D-Lux 7 allows you to switch between image and video in an instant. Automatic settings mean you can focus on the action rather than the dials.
But the D-Lux 7 isn’t just made for easy photography. The camera’s system is manually operatable and allows for complete customisation. Combined with the low-light capabilities of the lens and sensor, you get complete creative freedom and can experiment with depth of field.
That makes the D-Lux a brilliant tool for teaching you the fundamental principles of photography with every image you take.
A brand new feature to the D-Lux 7 is that the focus point of a photo can be changed after the image is already taken. Alternatively, several photos with different focus points can be superimposed onto each other and merged with the aid of Focus Stacking. This way you could, for instance, create a greater depth of focus in macro photography.
The handling of the camera is simple and intuitive and the display has full touch functionality. Image focus can be controlled with the tip of your finger, directly on the screen.
An integrated Wi-Fi mode allows the D-Lux 7 to be controlled remotely through the Leica FOTOS app and images to be transferred to your phone instantly, for sharing with friends and social media.
The D-Lux 7 includes a small flash.
